Madanapalle Institute of Technology and Science (MITS) has been established on 27th November 1998 across the vast hills and green pasture affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technology University (JNTU), Hyderabad.

The Institute offers Engineering education in respective branches Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical and Biotechnology Engineering with good teaching faculty. Barring the Institute also offers Masters Degree in Business Administration, Computer Applications and M. Tech in Digital Electronics & Communication systems. The Institute has also provided the benefit of Jawahar Knowledge Centre affiliated to IEG.

The Institute has well equipped advanced laboratories with good infrastructure to train the students in composite aspects. The course curriculum of the Institute is not confined only to technical inputs but also gives benefit to communication skills, moral education (value - oriented skills) and soft skills.

 

English Language Laboratory

  • The Management of MITS has started a well - established English Language Lab in the year 2005, with software's to     develop Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing skills

  • It is essential to teach the students through audio - visual aids the right accent, which they are supposed to follow.

  • To equip themselves with some guidelines how to communicate more effectively through E - mail, Voice - mail,     Conference, Calls and Video - Conference.

  • Pronunciation plays an important role in Business, Industry, Research, Education and International Diplomacy.     Students become talented in verbal communication skills by learning right accent through multi - media that makes     them equip to go to any part of the world for higher studies or research or employment.

  • English lab trains the students in composite aspects to undertake professional career in MNC's.

  • It also helps the students to train for higher competitive exams like GRE, TOFEL, ELTS and GATE.

    Library

  • Library plays a vital role in the life of an institution. Rich library is an asset to the Institution. MITS has a well-    established library with good Internet facility.

  • Keeping students and faculty in view college has 26,500 volumes of different branches, which will help and guide them.

  • Apart from the above, library provides many Journals, technical and literary, aptitude and worldly knowledge.

  • Library@MITS offers scholarship for backward class (BC, SC, ST) students.

  • The Jawahar Knowledge Centre has provided the benefit of various books on soft skills like Time Management, Stress     Management, Leadership Qualities, Self - Management, Positive Thinking to develop the students mentally and     intellectually.

    National Service Scheme

    The NSS unit of the institution consists of 200 socially sensitive students with deep sense of service participating in the activities of club with verve. With the unswerving support of the Management, the club further enhances the social spirit through seminars on Personality Development and Creating eco friendly environment in the campus by planting trees.

    Hostel

    The Management of MITS has provided good hostel facility for both the students and faculty. Hostel is located in center of the town with all the facilities i.e., hygienic food, 24 hours water facility, electricity and well furnished rooms. The first preference for Hostel Accommodation for the 1st sem B.E. student will be given to the out station students. Management of MITS provides transport facility for students and faculty to college.
