The department of Biotechnology is the youngest of all at MITS. This department offers 4 year full time course. MITS has recognized the importance of the fact that Biotechnology plays a vital role in various facets.

Department with full-fledged laboratories & faculty working with dedication to train the students with all sorts of skills to meet present & future requirements of industry & research.

Dept Activities:
To meet renowned positions and to well equipped with knowledge the student is being trained to develop communication skills in the form of seminars. Every student has to participate and should give one seminar with well-written script, presentation on dais that in turn develops Written as well as Verbal skills and student will overcome with stage fear.

Mini projects will be conducted in the 3rd year 2nd semister for every batch to improve the basic learnt lab techniques also the project submission improves the scientific way of presentations.

Laboratories:
Bioinformatics, Biochemistry, Plant Tissue Culture, Microbiology, Bioprocess, Instrumentational methods of analysis, Molecular Biology, Immunology and Down stream Processing Labs.

Faculty:
This department has well-qualified experienced professionals to train the students in various streams.
